"Sunset Boulevard" is a 15-year-old single malt from a secret Orkney distillery, matured in an Oloroso Sherry quarter cask. This 2007 vintage expression at 65.8% ABV combines island heather-smoke with intense sherry influence.

One of 151 Bottles

Finished and reracked  in a Fernando de Castilla Oloroso Quarter Cask on 6 October 2020. It received an additional 19 months of maturation in the sherry cask.


CHARACTER

Sherried | Coastal | Nutty | Leathery | Spicy

 

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Rich dried fruits like raisins and figs are prominent, layered with maritime sea spray and heather smoke. A nutty undertone of walnuts and dark chocolate provides a deep, savory base.

Palate: Concentrated and spicy due to the quarter cask maturation, offering flavors of Christmas cake, clove, and salted caramel. The Orkney peat provides a subtle, earthy counterpoint to the sweetness.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of dark fruit, leather, and a touch of dry sulfur. The final impression is rich, complex, and intensely flavored with oak spice.

Step into a hyper-colored, nostalgic universe through a retro VHS filter with Ardhira Putra, a Singapore-based Indonesian artist born in Jakarta in 1988. Ardhira graduated with an Animation major from Multimedia University, Malaysia, and won Best Animation at the Indonesian Film Festival in 2016 for Surat untuk Jakarta.

His vibrant illustrations and animations draw heavily from 1980s–90s city pop aesthetics—swaying palm trees, neon ad tags, retro characters, and the carefree vibe of Asia’s economic boom years.

He has created visuals for global artists including Barefood (Jakarta), Macross 82-99 (Mexico), Nice Guys Records (France), DJ Didilong (Taiwan), Engelwood (US), Yungbae (US), MDSGGN (Stones Throw), and Niagara Triangle (Eiichi Ohtaki, Masamichi Sugi, Motoharu Sano – Japan).
